The smoking laws state that most restaurants and businesses are not able to have smoking inside. This is much different than just a few years ago. It is fairer to non-smokers because at least now they are not forced to breathe in secondhand smoke. There are still some locations around the world where you can smoke inside but these are few and in between.

Even most of the bars that are open today do not allow smoking inside and the patrons must go outside before they light up. It is so important if you are planning to start up a business where you are going to be serving customers that you find out whether or not you can allow smoking. There are certain establishments such as casinos which are often able to permit smoking inside. If you do decide to allow smoking you will probably have to get a special permit for this.

Always think about who your target audience is and then make sure you are focusing your business around them, as it is these people who are going to bring in the money for you. Restaurants for instance could have young children inside and so it only makes sense that smoking would have been cut out from those sorts of places. With bars and casinos on the other hand you know that it is the older age group you are working with and most of them will be smoking anyway. Just make sure you put a lot of thought into this before making any final decisions, to do what is best for people and for your business.

Especially if you are just starting up a business make sure you take the time to learn details such as these. You want to do everything by the books and stay out of trouble. Take the time to look into things and decide what is going to bring you more customers. Always be aware of the smoking laws and keep in mind that they change all the time.
